LET US NOT BE SELECTIVE IN OUR SPIRITUAL ANALYSIS - PART 2

In my last article, I gave two examples of the selective spiritual analysis indulged in by Rampal of Satlok Ashram, Karontha, Haryana, India. In this article, you will find a few more such examples as given below.

[1] Rampal quotes in one of his books, the discussion supposedly held many centuries back between a NATH-PANTHI YOGI and KABIR in which Kabir is shown as defeating the NATH-PANTHI YOGI in the discussion. Kabir is shown to be helping the defeated NATH-PANTHI YOGI get spiritual liberation by initiating him as his disciple...! This account is given by Rampal to show NATH-PANTHI YOGIs in poor light and as inferior to KABIR.

BUT, RAMPAL HIDES THE DISCUSSION BETWEEN NATH-PANTHI YOGI AND KABIR THAT IS GIVEN IN THE NATH-PANTH LITERATURE IN WHICH KABIR IS SHOWN AS THE ONE DEFEATED IN THE DISCUSSION BY THE NATH-PANTHI YOGI....!

NOW JUST THINK: THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS OF THE DISCUSSION THAT EXIST. NATH-PANTH VERSION SHOWS KABIR AS THE DEFEATED ONE. KABIR-PANTH VERSION SAYS KABIR WON THE DISCUSSION. WHICH VERSION TO BELIEVE IN...?

THE TRUTH IS: IN OLDEN DAYS, COMPETING SPIRITUAL SECTS/PATHS TRIED TO SHOW THE RIVALS AS INFERIOR BY WRITING OUT IMAGINARY, FALSE STORIES/DEBATES HIGHLIGHTING/GLORIFYING THEIR OWN SECT/PATH AND DECLARING THE RIVAL/COMPETING/OTHER SECT/PATH AS USELESS AND INFERIOR....!

[2] Rampal quotes following statement highlighted in yellow colour {Plate number 1}, made by Devi , in ShrimadDevibhagwata, “…Us Paramaatmaa ko hi jaanae, dusri sab baaton ko chhod dae.” [Meaning: “Be aware of only that ALMIGHTY alone, leave all other things/matters.”] Here, the Almighty referred to is the Devi herself as we shall see later in this article. But, Rampal has twisted this statement and given a wrong meaning somewhat like this in Hindi ( which I myself have heard him say on TV channels) as follows, “Devi kah rahi hai ki devi ko chhod do, aur akmaatr us parmaatamaa Kabir ko hi bhajo…” [Meaning given by Rampal: Devi says that don’t worship Devi, instead worship the Almighty who happens to be Kabir.]

{Plate number 1}

In addition to giving the wrong meaning of Devi’s statement, Rampal also hides the following page {Plate number 2}, in ShrimadDevibhagwata, in which Devi says, “ Parvatraaj! Is prkaar yogayukta hokar mujh brhmaswaroopa devi kaa dhyaan kare.” [Meaning in English: “Parvatraaj! Visualize me (the BRHMA/ALMIGHTY/THAT who is me the DEVI ) by being established in the Yoga like this.”]

{Plate number 2}

Now, let us see as to who this BRHMA/ALMIGHTY that Devi/Goddess is talking about is. Read the words highlighted in yellow on the following page, “Jis Brhma maein…..ot-prot hai, us akmaatra parmaatmaa ko hi jaane, dusri sab baton ko chho de.” [Meaning in English: “The BRHMA/ALMIGHTY in which……exist, Be aware of only that ALMIGHTY/PARMAATMAA alone, leave all other things/matters.”] You can see clearly that BRHMA/ALMIGHTY is spoken of as the PARMAATMAA here in plate number 3.
{Plate number 3}

{Plate number 4}

In plate number 4, Devi says, “Jab tak ant:puujaa kaa adhikaaar na mile tab tak to baahaya puujaa karnee chaaheyae. Adhikari hote hi baahayapuujaa chhodkar ant:puujaa main lag jaaya; kyonki meri jo abhyantar puuja hai, waha thodae samaya baad gyaan main leen ho jaatee hai – UPAADHESHUUNYA GYAAN HE MERAA PARAMA RUUPA HAI…..ISILIYE JANMA AUR MRUTYU KI KREYA KO SHAANT KARNE KE UDESHAYA SE AEKNISHTHA HOKAR MERA CHENTAN KARANA CHAAHIYE.”
[Meaning in English: “Till the time you are not eligible for inner worship, till that you should do outer (Idol) worship. On becoming eligible for inner/divine-light worship, you should give up/leave idol worship and do inner idol-less worship; because my worship which is outer/idolatory, that outer/idolatory worship converts into gyaaan(divine light) worship……THE DIVINE ETERNAL LIGHT WITHOUT ANY FORM IS MY ABSOLUTE/ETERNAL/FINAL FORM/STRUCTURE….HENCE, TO SILENT/STOP THE ACT OF CYCLE OF BIRTH AND DEATH, BECOMING FULLY FOCUSED THE DEVOTEE MUST CONTEMPLATE ON/ABOUT ME…”]

Thus, it is clear that Devi says that Devi’s devotee evolves spiritually gradually, moving from idol worship to worshipping the Divine light which is ETERNAL/ALMIGHTY/ABSOLUTE….!

Rampal claims that the Almighty isn’t the DIVINE LIGHT. But, Rampal hides following saying by Mahhalaksmi {plate number 5} in ShrimadDevibhagwata, “ Kyaa tum NIRGUNNAA AADHYAASHAKTE KO NAHI JAANATAE? UNHI MAIN UNKAA SAGUNNAA RUUPA BHEE CHEPAA RAHATA HAI.” [Meaning in English: “…Don’t you know the Nirgunaa/MANIFESTATIONLESS/DIVINE-LIGHT original power? Her manifesting form is contained in her manifestationless/divine light form.”]. This statement makes it fully clear that whatever we see as the world around us is actually placed within/inside the Divine Eternal light. The Divine Light only is manifesting as the stars, the Sun, the Moon, etc….!

{Plate number 5}

{Plate number 6}

{Plate number 7}

{Plate number 8}

{Plate number 9}

Statements highlighted in yellow colour in plate numbers 6, 7, 8 and 9 make it clear that Devi is
BRAHMA/ABSOLUTE/ALMIGHTY. In other words, the THAT/ABSOLUTE/ALMIGHTY/SUPREME CONSCIOUSNESS itself only is manifesting variously as DEVI, etc.

THUS, it is clear that Rampal has tried his level best to fool his own self, to fool his own followers and to fool other genuine spiritual-seekers by quoting selectively from spiritual texts. No genuine and true spiritual guide would indulge in selective quotations and selective interpretations.
